Davis Films bites for 'Night'
Davis Films, the organization behind the "Resident Evil" franchise, has bought feature privileges to mother-daughter authors P.C. and Kristin Cast's youthful-adult vampire series "House of Evening." Acquired as the second potential franchise for Davis Films, "House of Evening" focuses on a 16-year-old girl named Zoey Redbird, who's delivered to a unique boarding school after learning she's genetically reserved to become "vampyre" in adolescence, or wiped out along the way. The series has offered a lot more than 12 million copies within the U.S. and it has been in the NY Occasions bestseller list for any record 140 days, with versions inside a total 39 nations. Series' ninth installment, "Destined," hit book shelves on March. 25. Davis Films topper Samuel Hadida credited the Cast writing duo for penning a set with worldwide appeal. "They've produced an enormous amount of adolescent growth against a backdrop of supernatural suspense that resonates all over the world with youthful visitors submerged in 'Twilight' and 'Harry Potter,'" Hadida stated.
